Her family was destroyed by a fire that decimated most of the Imperial city, and this loss renders her taleless, the only one left alive to pass on such stories as The Cat Born the Year the Star Fell, The Cat with a Litter of Ten, and The Fire-Tailed Cat. Without her fudoki--self and soul and home and shrine--she alone cannot keep the power of her clan together. And she cannot join another fudoki, because although she might be able to win a place within another clan, to do so would mean that she would cease to be herself. So a small cat begins an extraordinary journey. Along the way she will attract the attention of old and ancient powers. Greatest Kitchen Item I've Bought in Years

These grinders are awesome. No more tedious grinding, or endless shaking! I love the adjustable grind levels (I like mine fairly coarse), and these hold a charge for a long time - months. My friends are super impressed when they visit, and will probably be buying these too.

Fast and efficient!

These are a very nice set. Our other pair started grinding the salt and pepper as soon as you flipped it over and made a mess. This set here you have to push the button first. Also it is faster at grinding. Recommend!

Who knew laziness could be so rewarding?!

Super happy with this purchase. With the press of a button I have freshly ground salt and pepper...makes a big difference in taste. I appreciate the lighted bottoms which make it easier to see the quantity being dispensed. The charge has lasted a full month so far with near daily use. They are attractive on my counter and the tray they sit in collects the loosened remnants and is very easy to clean.
May give as gifts this year!

Poor Grind Mechanisms

Salt grinder fell apart in 6 weeks. The item looks nice, but the grind settings on both the salt and pepper did not yield truly different grind. They always came out the same size, regardless of setting. About 5 weeks in, the clear plastic bottom came off of the salt grinder. I wasn't even using rock salt, just coarse salt. I could not get the piece back in. Then, the entire grind assembly came out as I was cooking. This item did not even get daily use. I purchased a different brand several years ago, I wish I had purchased that one again. I thought I was getting a good deal based on reviews.
**UPDATED 9/19** Seller made reasonable accommodations to make it right. Very pleased with how this was handled. Stars reflect customer service,
