Care

General Maintenance: Prune only to keep desired shape. Trim off dead or dying vines and spent flowers in the winter. Bring indoors in the winter, and put outdoors during the warm summer. Does not need repotting often, just when overly rootbound.

Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures and will not tolerate freezing temperatures for long. Aim to keep it between 16°C and 24°C.

Light: Needs very bright light. Full sun or partial sun are ideal. It should get about 8 hours of sun per day. Keep in a sunny window during the winter when it is indoors.

Watering: Water thoroughly once the first 2 inches of soil are dry. Water less during the winter.

Soil: Prefers a well-draining, loamy soil that stays moist. Prefers a slightly acidic or neutral soil.

Fertilizer: Fertilize using a diluted, balanced fertilizer during the spring and summer. You can maintain the fertilizing throughout the year if it continues to bloom while indoors.
