This detailed, wooden piece offers a rustic hint to your backyard, while providing six martin families a lasting shelter. Four 2" diameter openings line the front of this abode, while two additional entries on the top level offer more space for birds. The home's antique white body and tall, pitched roof help regulate the interior temperature of each nest, assisted by the reclaimed wood construction. This design reduces landfill waste, and lends extra charm to your garden. Lapped detailing on each side of the shelter enhances the realistic hint, and five columns along the front visually divide the piece. These columns also support the porch roof, overhanging each entry, and a significant base provides landing and perching spots. Holes on this base also allow any captured water to drain from the nests, and an integrated bracket here makes it simple to place the home on a wooden 4 x 4 post (not included). The roof lifts easily for nest checks and seasonal maintenance, and two faux dormers here add a classic look to the piece.
