Most air filters on the market are a compromise. Many high-performance filters deliver better airflow, but sacrifice filtering ability and engine protection in the process. OEM filters, which are usually made of paper, filter adequately but at the expense of airflow. And airflow decreases as these air filters become dirty. Not so the K&N air filter. K&N air filters increase airflow without decreasing filtration ability, and the increased airflow remains consistent throughout the filter's service interval. The secret is in the K&N filter's construction.

K&N's initial goal was to develop a filter that would deliver increased airflow during dirty, dusty off-road racing conditions. Increased airflow improves the efficiency of the combustion process, increasing horsepower and torque. But just increasing airflow without ensuring adequate filtration under those conditions would result in a ruined engine. K&N's solution was a filter design consisting of 4 to 6 layers of cotton gauze sandwiched between two aluminum wire screens. The cotton is then treated with a specially formulated grade of oil that causes tackiness throughout the cotton’s microscopic strands. The resulting K&N filter not only delivers increased airflow while trapping dirt particles that could harm your engine, that level of airflow is maintained even as the filter gets dirty. The layers of oiled cotton fibers in the K&N filter trap dirt particles that are smaller than the holes in the filter media. The thickness of the layers also allows the K&N filter to trap dirt and dust on many levels, trapping more dirt without decreasing airflow. Contrast this with a paper filter that only traps dirt on its surface; as the surface area becomes clogged, the airflow rate goes down.

Each K&N air filter is custom designed to fit into your existing factory air box. The K&N filter is economical because it's the last air filter you'll have to buy for your car. It can be washed and reused many times, and since you can usually drive up to 50,000 miles between servicing, you won't have to clean it very often. And every K&N filter is backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty. By the way, check the CARiD reviews and read what the customers think of K&N porducts.

Ambitious universe building that starts small
Format: Kindle
Defiance of the Fall is in the Top 5 of my favorite progression fantasy stories (for reference, I think you should at least try the first book of all 5 series with the other 4 series being Primal Hunter, He Who Fights with Monsters, Azarinth Healer, and The Calamitous Bob). The scale of this series world-building is beyond any other series that comes to mind. And the crazy thing is that 16 books in, there's still a TON of room to keep building. I'm hoping the author can keep the series at this quality out to at least 30 books. The series starts out slightly slower-paced, but 16 books in I think that was a good thing as it really sets up the main character and enables a slow build up of their new existence. You learn as the MC does, and at the beginning the MC is still struggling with the basics. But as the main character progresses, that 'world' gets more and more complex and grows vastly in scope (there's a whole giant universe out there), with that complexity being the main challenge of the series. When there is 16 books worth of progress, remembering all the details can get a bit challenging. Book 16 books in, I'm still eagerly reading every book that comes out. All in all, I highly recommend this series and all of the others in my Top 5 list. If I had to round that out to a Top 10, other series I would recommend would be Paths of Akashic, Dual-Class, Grand Game, Unintended Cultivator, and A Thousand Li. None of those latter 5 are a strong as the top 5, but all are worth reading IMO.

Great LitRPG
Format: Kindle
Solid LitRPG stuff. It has all the hallmarks of the genre and they're executed well, your protagonist who starts off average and gets stronger and stronger, experiencing both great danger and great opportunity, taking risks that (usually) pay off. Where it really shines is the worldbuilding; it's a somewhat slower burn in that respect but the writing does a good job of building a coherent, intriguing world with a ton of different factions and factions within factions with their own motivations. The history of the world is legitimately interesting and being cultivation-themed gives it a unique flavor compared to many others which are more straight RPG (and there's even a good in-universe reason for this). My criticisms are fairly minor, the writing can be a bit dry or awkward on occasion "The situation clearly hinted at a situation where he would only need to...", and the universe and lore is expansive enough that it's easy to forget about some individual element on occasion. This is an overall review of the series (16 books at time of writing).

good book, needs an editor.
Format: Kindle
The premise was good, and the story arcs were good. But the actual writing style of this book left a lot to be desired. I see the author is up to book 16 as of now. Hopefully they have fixed a lot of these minor issues.

Great read once the action gets going
Format: Kindle
I've never read anything by this author and picked up this series after seeing how many books were already released; very important to me nowadays as I keep hitting the end of other series I really enjoy and get stuck waiting for the author to complete writing the next installment. No such problem here as there are nearly a dozen installments already published. Plus, this first book was nearly 800 pages. It is the typical LitRPG where the storyline starts off with earth being forcefully and suddenly integrated into the "multiverse" and the MC having to learn all about the magic and leveling system in order to grow strong enough to find his family and defend himself. Thr plot might be standard but the writer throws in plenty of interesting bits like the primary invaders being demons and the MC choosing to wield an axe rather than the traditional sword. The only problem is that the MC is a bit of a whiner at first and nothjng much happens except a lot of grinding so stick with it. The action starts around the second half when he leaves his immediate surroundings full of low level mobs to engage the invaders. From there it only gets more interesting as he discovers other species whose worlds were merged with earth along with fellow humans. A leaderboard is also introduced tracking levels and wealth so we get a glimpse of other powerful humans besides the MC. The system controlling the multiverse promotes conflict and rewards the strong so the MC undergoes a total attitude change and goes from a desk jockey to near bloodthirsty in his quest for power. Purchasing the next book straightaway as I cant wait to read where the story heads. Would definitely recommend for fans of fantasy and particularly LitRPG.
