De vruchtloze witte moerbei (Morus alba 'Fruitless') is een elegante boom die zijn oorsprong vindt in Frankrijk. Morus alba 'Fruitless' heeft een snelle groei en kan een volwassen hoogte bereiken van 6 tot 10 meter. Het blad kleurt frisgroen en is gelobd van vorm. De boom bloeit in de maanden mei en juni met onopvallende, groene katjes. Omdat het een mannelijke cultivar is, produceert hij geen vruchten. De Morus alba 'Fruitless' gedijt het best op een zonnige, warme en beschutte locatie. Hij heeft een voorkeur voor een kalkhoudende, goed doorlatende bodem. De boom is redelijk winterhard en kan temperaturen tot -25°C verdragen, hoewel jonge bomen vorstgevoeliger kunnen zijn. Hij is matig bestand tegen wind en verdraagt geen verharding rondom de wortels. De Morus alba 'Fruitless' vereist weinig onderhoud. Om de boom in model te houden, kan lichte snoei in het voorjaar of de zomer nodig zijn.
